The business
Surplus becomes revenue instead of a disposal cost. You set the price, you set the quantity, and you keep 81% of every bag.
The dream
Every city on earth throws food away at closing time. Not because anyone wants to - because there was no way to sell it in the hour that was left. We built that way. We started with one city, and the people in each city decide which one comes next.
The problem
A bakery closing at seven has bread it cannot sell at eight. A grocer has fruit that is perfect today and unsellable tomorrow. None of it is spoiled and none of it is wanted, because the only buyer left is the bin.
That is not a moral failure. It is a timing problem - and timing problems are solvable. What was missing was a way to reach the people nearby in the last hour, at a price that makes the trip worth it for both sides.
Nobody wakes up wanting to throw away what they made that morning.
Who wins
Surplus becomes revenue instead of a disposal cost. You set the price, you set the quantity, and you keep 81% of every bag.
Real food from a real shop nearby, at a fraction of the price, collected the same day. Not charity, not leftovers - the same food, later in the day.
Food thrown away has already cost the water, land and fuel that produced it. Rescuing a bag saves all of it, not just the meal.
Part of the platform margin funds a rotating donation goal, so the same surplus that pays a merchant also puts something back on a local family shelf.
Live totals from the platform. When there is nothing to report yet, this shows a dash rather than a zero.

Food is thrown away in every city on earth. We started with ours.
Algeria, Morocco, the Gulf - the problem is identical in all of them, and so is the fix. But it only travels if it works here first, and that starts with one more business in one more city.
